Gerard Butler was a guest on Thursday’s episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and he and the host played a modified version of blackjack called Slapjack. In the game, the winner gets to slap the loser in the face with a giant rubber hand. Originally, Fallon states that they will play until one of them reaches three wins. Butler jokes around a little bit about the hand before the game begins, but once it does, things get down to business.
The game starts with Butler dealing and Fallon gets to draw first blood on his guest. Fallon slaps Butler and says, “I can’t believe I just hit Gerard Butler in the face.” The game continues with Butler warming his arm up as he thinks he is going to win. The two end up in a tie, and the tie goes against the dealer, so Butler earned a slap of Jimmy. However, while trying to figure out what happens in a tie, Butler tried a sneaky slap without Fallon knowing. Fallon tried to do the same thing and blocked Butler’s sneak attack. However, the guest did win on the tie and got to slap Fallon. He tagged Fallon in the ear and joked that he had a brick in the giant rubber hand.
Fallon hit a blackjack in the next round, and slapped Butler again, but the guest had his revenge and won the final hand. With his final slap of Fallon, he knocked the Tonight Show host off of his seat. Fallon got up, looking like he had just been run over by a bus. After Butler helped him up, Fallon said, “You almost knocked my toupee off.” That was a follow-up to his game of MasterClass Junior earlier in the week when guest Kevin Spacey threw a fake punch and knocked a blonde wig off of the host’s head. The game ended in a 2-2 tie, likely because Fallon was unsure of where he was after two hard slaps from Butler. Check out the video below.
