On Tuesday’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the talented Kevin Spacey was a guest. Fallon and Spacey performed scenes from House of Cards, Spacey’s popular show on Netflix for the game MasterClass Junior. The twist was that the scenes were not actually from the show, but written by kids who did not know anything about the show other than the title, House of Cards. To round out the game, three kid judges were brought in to vote on which of the two would be the better actor in the scenes.
As Spacey and Fallon took their seats on the stage, the host introduced the judges, Angus, Keann, and Jasmine. As soon as Fallon introduced the three, he and Spacey started to try to win over the judges. They both started bragging about the awards they each have. Fallon told Spacey, after all the bragging about Oscars, Emmy’s, and Grammy’s, that he had seen his guest with his pants down and he also had two SAG awards. Fallon obviously had a brain slip, forgetting the three kids were sitting right there and Steve Higgins, who was going to set each scene, quickly said that SAG was for the Screen Actor’s Guild.
As the two started the first scene, written by Phillip from Boston, Spacey pulled out his popular impersonation of Christopher Walken as he portrayed Garbageman. In the second scene, written by Tacoma from Seattle, Spacey’s character is Johnny, so, being on the Tonight Show, Spacey pulled out a Johnny Carson voice, which Fallon responded with his own impersonation of the popular former host. After the second scene, The two talked to one of the young Judges, Angus, who pointed to Spacey and said, “I don’t get you.”
In the third, and final, scene by Olivia from Connecticut, Fallon plays a little girl and dons a blonde wig. After messing with it, Spacey said that the Tonight Show host looked like a drunk Katy Perry. They performed the scene and when they were finished, Fallon kept the wig on while the judges voted.
The first judge, Angus, voted for Spacey, because he did better voices. After that first vote, Spacey threw a fake punch at Fallon, knocking the blonde hair wig off the host’s head. The second judge, Keann, said that the most believable was Spacey, but then he said that he was kidding and voted for Fallon. With the votes split, it came down the third judge, Jasmine, who said that Spacey did better. With her vote, Kevin Spacey won the MasterClass Junior game. Check out the video below.
