On Wednesday afternoon, Kris Jenner, 60, one of the stars of the TV reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, was involved in a car accident while driving her new white Rolls Royce. The mother of six injured her wrist in the accident, and may have fractured it, though otherwise, she was mainly just shaken up when her Rolls struck a Prius that allegedly ran a red light.
Kylie Jenner, 18, the youngest daughter of Kris, tweeted to her friends, family, and fans that she was not in the car when it was truck by the Prius. After reassuring everyone she was uninjured and had not been with her mother, she tweeted, “Everything’s okay.” She added that her mother was okay, and that she “rushed to the scene” to be with her and to offer comfort and support following the car accident.
E! Online reported that, other than having hurt her hand, and not mentioning the possible wrist injury alluded to by TMZ, Kris Jenner “is otherwise doing OK.” The crash that occurred when the driver of the Prius allegedly ran a red light caused an airbag in the Rolls Royce to deploy.
Law enforcement officials have not yet released any further details, though TMZ reported that the front end of the Rolls Royce, barely a week old, was “absolutely destroyed.” in addition, they reported that Kris Jenner may have broken her wrist, and that she was “treated on scene by paramedics.” EMTs reportedly were cautious about removing Jenner from the car, because they did not want to make her injury any worse in their attempts to help her.
According to People, Kris Jenner was “driving westbound on Calabasas Rd. in Calabasas,” when the two-car accident happened. Malibu/Lost Hills Lt. Ed Winslow said the driver of the Prius was headed east and turned in front of the Rolls Royce “in an attempt to get on the southbound 101 freeway,” People reported.
Kris Jenner kept on driving, as the Prius turned in front of her, and the matriarch of the Kardashians struck the other driver’s car. Winslow said police officers received a call at 2:06 p.m. PST. However, he did not release any additional details pertaining to the crash.
