Everyone’s favorite dating app Tinder has released yet another new feature which allows you to now link your Spotify account to your Tinder profile. Now, ladies can find their Prince Charming and guys can find their Tinderella through music. The update, which is effective September 20 will give swipers the ability to see and play other people’s top song.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the feature is available even if you don’t have an account with Spotify and if you are a user of the music streaming site you’ll be able to see what artists you and your Tinder match have in common. The cool new feature also allows you to add an “anthem” to your profile which is described as a single song that best describes you according to Billboard Magazine.
Spotify isn’t the only music streaming service making headlines recently. Apple Music who is backed by the likes of artists like Drake, Taylor Swift, and Mary J. Blige has teamed up with Paypal to offer a discount on the service. On the Paypal ebay store, you can purchase an Apple Music gift card for around $100 to buy a years’ worth subscription to Apple Music according to Apple Insider. A year’s subscription to Apple Music is usually valued at $120 so the deal will save you around $20. Although the gift card can also be found at Apple’s retail store it can’t be found on Apples webstore, through Ios, or iTunes (isn’t that strange?). Other online retailers that offer the gift card include Walmart and Best Buy.
Tinder has the right idea that music can bring people together and using up and coming top music streaming service Spotify allows both the services to capitalize even more between the obvious Spotify connection on Tinder and Tinder advertisement between your favorite songs on Spotify.
Since launching, Tinder has not only become the most talked about full-blown dating site in the convenience of an app but this isn’t the first update that is keeping Tinder on top. A few months ago, Tinder launched Tinder Social, a feature that allows you and a group of other Tinder uses to meet up with another group. Last year after many requests, Tinder allowed you to see where users worked and went to school. You can only wonder what the service will offer next.
