Mann Packing, a Salinas, California company, has issued a voluntary Class 1 recall for 205 cases of their Organic Veggies with Organic Ranch Dip snacking tray due to an allergy risk. The product was inadvertently mislabeled, not correctly disclosing the ingredients contained in the product.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, egg, milk, mustard, and soy are not included on the label. Anyone who has an allergy to any of these ingredients and consumes this product runs the risk of suffering a severe or life-threatening allergic reaction. To date, no illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming this product. However, Mann Packing has issued the recall out of an abundance of caution.
The only product affected by this recall are the 18 ounce Organic Veggies with Organic Ranch Dip snacking trays. The recalled items have a best use date of January 14, and they are labeled with the incorrect UPC code 71651901471. The veggie trays were distributed to Iowa, Florida, Minnesota, New York, and Texas for retail sale.
Consumers who have purchased an Organic Veggies with Organic Ranch Dip snacking tray, and who have an allergy to eggs, milk, mustard, or soy, are encouraged not to eat the item.
